Sunday Mornings

All Gatherings Begin at 9am

Kids Choir

Join kids aged K-6th grade to discover God through music and song. Singing together doesn’t just make a beautiful noise, it stores in our brains and bodies the delightful truth of God. Whether you’ve sung in a choir for years or only choose to sing in the car, your voice is invited!

The purpose of Confirmation is to help students develop a firsthand faith in Jesus Christ through exploring the Bible, prayer, cultivating meaningful relationships with the pastors, friends, parents, and members of the congregation, while having fun along the way. Young people with firsthand faith are beginning to follow Christ not because their parents do, but because Jesus has become real to them. Young people with firsthand faith allow their beliefs to impact their behavior. They are intentional about living lives of love – love for God and love for others. Join us as we learn and grow together this year!

Learning to Hear God’s Voice

Does God really speak to people today? As you read through the Bible, it’s a common experience to feel a disconnect between the Bible’s record of people talking to and hearing from God, and your own experience. Christians often talk about their faith as a relationship with God, but sometimes it seems more like a one way conversation, or at least a distant one, and we sometimes long for the personal face-to-face interaction with God. Join us for some practical ways we can work on learning to hear God’s voice.

Discipleship Pathway Group

6:00pm | Beginning in October
This pathway of books, films/videos, and articles is designed to facilitate spiritual growth and deepen our understanding of racial righteousness. The curation of the content for this pathway comes from the collaborative partnership between our denomination’s Love Mercy Do Justice department, North Park Theological Seminary, and the Covenant Ministerium. Our prayer is that this pathway will form and shape us on the journey to love God and our neighbors more faithfully and make us more effective in mission as disciples of Jesus.

Soul Care Thrive Group

5:45pm | All Adults
This NCC Thrive Group offers an introduction to seeking God together as we care for our souls. Areas for exploration include individual and group discernment, ancient prayer rhythms, and the practice of listening to others and the Holy Spirit. This soul care group will be short term, about five weeks. If there are more than four people interested, two groups may be formed meeting at different times. The hope for this introduction is that those attending will: 1) have a taste of soul care (also called spiritual direction); 2) learn to listen to the Holy Spirit within a group, through Scripture, and in the stories of others; 3) be introduced to ancient practices of prayer that may be new to them.
