Come and meet Jesus.

Easter Service | 10am
In-person & Online
WHAT TO EXPECT
If attending in person, upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our team who are here to help make you feel at home. If attending online, our host will be present 10 minutes prior to the start of the service and will be happy to answer any questions you may have throughout the time.
EASTER SERVICE
The service will last approximately an hour. It will include music, prayer, readings from the Bible, and a sermon lasting about 20-25 minutes. At Newport, we want people to be able to worship in a language they are most familiar with so on Easter, you’ll hear both familiar Easter hymns like “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today” and more modern music like “The Goodness of God.” The team leading music up front will represent a large range of ages and will consist of a number of solo vocalists, piano, bass, drums, and guitar.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
At Newport, we have a high value of worshipping together as a whole body and that includes our kids and our youth. During the sermon, we have an environment especially for kids in preschool up to 5th grade. Children can be picked up following the service in the rooms clearly labeled for their age ranges.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
We want you to be comfortable and come just as you are. On Easter, many people decide to dress up a bit to take pictures with friends and family.
STATIONS IN THE STREET
Beginning the Monday of Holy Week, April 14, you will be able to engage in a prayer practice following the journey of Jesus to the cross with artwork by ‘Scott the Painter’ (Scott Erickson). There will be a series of 12 stations with guided reflections lining our fence on Coal Creek Parkway as well as in the windows of our main entrance.
GOOD FRIDAY
Service | 7:00pm
In-person & Online
An essential part of the resurrection story is Jesus’ journey to the cross. During our service, we will invite you to enter into the story of the events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion and take time to intentionally focus on Jesus’ sacrifice.
INVITE A FRIEND
Easter is a time when people are especially looking for ways to connect in community, to feel a sense of belonging and hope. We want to encourage you to invite those you love, your neighbors, friends, and family, to join you in celebrating Easter together. We have physical invite cards available at the church building as well as the same shareable graphics below to compliment your personal invitations. We trust that the Spirit of God is already at work in the lives of those you care about and we look forward to welcoming them with you!
